Thanks to a group of very dedicated funders, the Department of Informatics and Networked Systems is offering up to 17 student awards/scholarships in Spring 2026, totaling more than $50,000 in funding. Starting February 9, 2026, we are accepting applications for awards that will help you to pay for tuition and other university-related expenses. There are awards for both undergraduate and graduate students in the various DINS degree programs: BSIS, MSIS, MST, PhD-IS.
These awards, funded through the generosity of alumni, University community members, and corporations, will be distributed to students in the Department who have achieved academic excellence, undertaken community service, and/or who have exhibited leadership skills in professional or Pitt-related student organizations. The deadline to apply to these awards has been extended to March 16, 2026, at 5 pm.
